Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen operations of Cape Weligama
- Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene in line with the restaurant's standards and BYOB dining concept
- Uphold the kitchen team responsible for menu creation, cost control, kitchen staff training, and maintaining smooth coordination between the kitchen and service teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within a luxury resort or fine-dining setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Ability to maintain authenticity, consistency, and quality during busy service timings
- Experience assisting with mise en place and day-to-day kitchen tasks
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting different areas of the kitchen
