About the Role
Sous Chef at Thema Collection (Pasikuda).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals to the restaurants
- Create and work on different cuisines, as well as having an understanding of pastry
- Deliver an excellent guest experience while managing food cost controls and ensuring smooth kitchen operation
- Establish unique recipes, presentation techniques, and maintain quality standards
- Monitor budgets and ensure expenditures stay within limits while maintaining profit and loss records
- Enforce strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Requirements
- Overall 2-5 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Professional certification in culinary operations from Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management or any other recognized institute would be an added advantage
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Be up-to-date with the latest culinary trends
- Fair knowledge in English
